Artist Statement:
My work involves creating a powerful medium for storytelling and social commentary. My past works involve skills I’ve learned from my Principles of Internet Design and Art Games & Virtual Worlds. I have created sites using web design, HTML, CSS, and familiar tools that engage viewers on multiple levels. My websites are responsive and can be viewed to fit a variety of devices.
Project Description:
The reason for creating this project is to raise awareness about the concerns of wildfires and how it affects climate change. The targeted audience can include students, teachers, environmental activists or just anyone in general that is interested in wildfire issues. The goal is to inform and engage people on wildfires by explaining an overview of what they are, causes, effects and some ways to prevent it from happening. In addition, it is about raising awareness for the increasing wildfires and the severity of it. The message of this project is to review the Eaton Fire event and its damage. This project reflects growing global concerns about environmental sustainability, making it a relevant issue today.
